Our steadfast commitment to helping refugees has been challenged by the Executive ban. Few refugees are being admitted into the United States. We will never change our belief that welcoming refugees into our community is integral to our mission of service and advocacy. While we wait, we have an aggressive plan of action to reach the refugees already settled in our community. We see this as a another challenge, which we are ready and pleased to meet.
There has been a decrease in the number of refugees in the
last months, but we have been actively helping refugees
already living in Rochester.
During the fiscal year July 2016-June 2017, we assisted 1,097 newly arrived refugees
Have assisted over 15 different non-profits in the last 6 months
