WHEN YOU DONATE YOUR GENTLY USED CLOTHING TO SAINT'S PLACE, WE TAKE IT TO OUR CLOTHING CLOSET AT ST. JOHN OF ROCHESTER, WHERE OUR VOLUNTEERS TAKE THEM FROM THIS.........

Saint’s Place was able to assist a record number of over 500 newly arrived refugees since July 1,2016. None of this would be possible without the continuous support of our wonderful volunteers and the generous donations from our community.

Bishop Salvatore Matano’s visit to Saint’s Place motivated, inspired and challenged all of us.
On January 20th, Bishop Salvatore Matano visited the Saint’s Place Clothing Closet located at Saint John of Rochester.  His enthusiasm and gratitude for the countless hours spent by our volunteers was awesome!  He mentioned several times that it was clearly evident that the volunteers respected the dignity of the refugees. The presentation of the clothing, the care and concern that was involved in setting up the various rooms clearly demonstrated the dedication of the volunteers.  Bishop Matano also greeted ten, recently arrived, Cuban refugees.
If you would like to see how the Clothing Closet operates, please call 385-6860 so we can arrange a tour for you.  We would be most happy to show you what a difference volunteers can make in the lives of newly arrived refugees.

St. Bonaventure University Coming again on Saturday, April 22, 2017!!!
On Saturday, April 22, 2017, students and faculty members from St. Bonaventure University  will arrive and worked all day at our Clothing Closet and delivering furniture to the refugees.  Their enthusiasm and spirit are always motivating to our staff and volunteers.   This relationship with St. Bonaventure now enters its fifth year wherein the incoming freshmen bring us school supplies which last for five months or more.  Three times a year a group of students come to Saint's Place to spend a Saturday helping us.

The students bring energy and a sincere desire to help the less fortunate.  It renews our spirit and challenges us to do more.     Thank you, St. Bonaventure University.
